GOOGLE Goggles: Visual Search

How many times this happens that we see something and want to know more about it. Only option we had was to ask friend's or people around, not anymore google is working on Google Goggles: Visual Search. Just imagine that you are out on a vacation and you notice a landmark and wish to know more, what you need is a cellphone take a snap and all the information is on your mobile screen.

Offcial Version"Google Goggles is a visual search app for Android phones. Instead of using words, take a picture of an object with your camera phone: we attempt to recognize the object, and return relevant search results. Goggles also provides information about businesses near you by displaying their names directly in the camera preview."

Yes now we can use pictures clicked from or mobile camera to search web. As a famous qoute "A picture is worth a thousand words." Not only this we can search for Books, Wines, Plcaes, Contact Info, Artwork, Logo and lot more. But this is just begining Google still need to build its database.

My personal Favrouite is searching for places because for that we don't even need to click just open camera and point, using phone GPS it will show information of the place pointed.

Solution For Certficate Error in Nokia Symbian S60

The most common problem for NOKIA symbian phone's is "Certificate Error" while installing Applications. You can get your app signed online at SymbianSigned but they don't sign all applications. Finally on searching online i found a Chinese site OPDA. They generate 'certificate' and 'Key' for you which can be used to sign any application. Site is in Chinese so i had explained it here using pictures below.
STEP 1 Click here to Register. A countdown from 10 will start at end of page
then click left tab which means agree, see image's below and follow procedure.

STEP 2 Page will re-load and take you to home page. If not click login next to Register.

STEP 3 After Logging, click Certificate System under Facility.

STEP 4 Enter IMEI no. in first box you get by dialing *#06# 15 digit.
In Second Box enter your phone no. should start with 13, 15 or 18 total of 11 digit.
After successfully submitting you will be redirected to my certificates. All certificates you had applied for are listed her.

STEP 5 After a day probably login back to OPDA(step 2) goto Certificate system (step 3) download cert. & key under DOWNLOAD section.

ONCE you got your Cert. & key use SignSIS to sign your applications, download it here.

IMPORTANT: There are lot of forum's which take cert. & key generation requests just to make more members and earn revenue from ads, use this procedure to get cert. & key free.

Locate Mobile Number

India has the world's fastest growing mobile user base. At a time when markets are falling, home loans are high, mobile user base is growing which is expexted to touch 559 million by 2011. I still remember that life time prepaid was lauched with price tag of Rs.999 and today its available at Rs.99.
With this a new problem arises whose number is this you wonder when you recieve/get a miss call from a new number. Mobile numbers in India have the prefix 9. All mobile numbers are 10 digits long, (normally) break up as OP-AR-NUMBER where OP is the operator code, AR is the zone code assigned to the operator, and NUMBER is the subscriber number. Example
if your number starts with 9811 its from Vodafone Delhi. You can locate a mobile number here and here (India Only). Get detailed information from Wikipedia.
But soon 10 digit long numbers will finish probably TRAI will come up with 11 digit long numbers.

GMail Drive

I know we can upload data to our GMail account using plug ins in FireFox,What if i say you can have a GMail Drive Right in your Windows Explorer. Few days back i say a WindowsAndMe TV commercial mentioning Sky Drive. I thought why Google is not offering it and i realized that i have a GMail drive in my Explorer but never used it (my foolishness) i searched for it on google finally i used this link to update my GMail Drive from Softpedia.

"Official Version

GMail Drive
Copyright 2004 - 2008 by Bjarke Viksoe

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual drive in the Windows Explorer, allowing you to use your Google Mail account
as a storage medium.

It allows you to do basic file manipulation, such as copy and delete, on files inside the GMail folder. Because it is a Shell Extension,
the interface you work in is Windows Explorer itself.

GMail files are physically stored as e-mails on your Google Mail account. The files are stored in mail attachments, and the filename and
file information (such as filesize) is stored in the message subject line.

GMail Drive has already been installed on your computer. All you need to do now, is to browse to the GMail Drive entry under your
My Computer folder in the Windows Explorer.

GMail Drive - Gmail Shell Namespace Extension
Copyright(C) 2004 - 2008 Bjarke Viksoe bjarke@viksoe.dk"

download the Zip file from link above install it---> log in---> Copy-Paste(upload) that's it

But it has few limitations like "files will clutter up your Inbox folder, you may wish to create a filter in GMail to automatically move the files (prefixed with the GMAILFS letters) to your archived mail folder." as mentioned in Softpedian opinion it automatically prefixes gmailfs so create a filter. I know most of the people will know. Settings ---> Filter--> Create filter Type GMAILFS in Has the words option and don't forgt to select skip the inbox(archive) create a new label and select Mark as read if you wish. Also i think you can't upload files above 20MB (attachment limit) i tried a 25mb file it showed error time out.
enjoy!

Bigger Threat Than Terrorism

Counterfeit Currency

Yes, fake currency is the next big threat to the nation than terrorism. Its not only effecting the countries economy but funding terrorism as well. "Counterfeit a grave threat: CBI chief" According to IB the fake currency is on the rise and there is a specific information that this money is being used extensively for terror operations. Investigating agencies claim that the amount of fake currency in India is a shocking Rs 170,000 crore (Rs 17 trillion).
Both RBI and IB sources say it is difficult to differentiate between real and fake currency notes.
But an RBI official says there are prominent differences between the real and fake notes.
In a fake note, the security thread or the silver bromide and the logo are hazy. The three watermarks on each note -- the Ashoka Pillar, Mahatma Gandhi's image, denomination and the words RBI -- are not as prominent compared to original notes. In the fake currency, the sprinkled blue dots are not visible when seen through ultra violet light. Lastly, the superimposed digits are not visible when seen horizontally.Reserve Bank of officials dispute this figure and say that as on July 2008, the total currency available with the Indian public was Rs 603,000 crore (Rs 63 trillion) and if what the IB is saying is true, then it would mean that 28 per cent of the currency in the country is fake.

Yes, i agree its difficult to differentiate between real and fake notes but possible if we stay alert in my personal experience the major differences are PAPER AND PRINTING QUALITY. However its tough for us to check paper but printing quality can be checked specially in Security Thread, Microlettering, Latent Image and See through Register.

RBI guidelines to check Counterfeit Currency. Source: RBI

Watermark The Mahatma Gandhi Series of banknotes contain the Mahatma Gandhi watermark with a light and shade effect and multi-directional lines in the watermark window.

Security Thread Rs.1000 notes introduced in October 2000 contain a readable, windowed security thread alternately visible on the obverse with the inscriptions ‘Bharat’ (in Hindi), ‘1000’ and ‘RBI’, but totally embedded on the reverse. The Rs.500 and Rs.100 notes have a security thread with similar visible features and inscription ‘Bharat’ (in Hindi), and ‘RBI’. When held against the light, the security thread on Rs.1000, Rs.500 and Rs.100 can be seen as one continuous line. The Rs.5, Rs.10, Rs.20 and Rs.50 notes contain a readable, fully embedded windowed security thread with the inscription ‘Bharat’ (in Hindi), and ‘RBI’. The security thread appears to the left of the Mahatma's portrait. Notes issued prior to the introduction of the Mahatma Gandhi Series have a plain, non-readable fully embedded security thread.
Latent Image On the obverse side of Rs.1000, Rs.500, Rs.100, Rs.50 and Rs.20 notes, a vertical band on the right side of the Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait contains a latent image showing the respective denominational value in numeral. The latent image is visible only when the note is held horizontally at eye level.

Microlettering This feature appears between the vertical band and Mahatma Gandhi portrait. It contains the word ‘RBI’ in Rs.5 and Rs.10. The notes of Rs.20 and above also contain the denominational value of the notes in microletters. This feature can be seen better under a magnifying glass.
Intaglio Printing
The portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, the Reserve Bank seal, guarantee and promise clause, Asoka Pillar Emblem on the left, RBI Governor's signature are printed in intaglio i.e. in raised prints, which can be felt by touch, in Rs.20, Rs.50, Rs.100, Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes.
Identification Mark
A special feature in intaglio has been introduced on the left of the watermark window on all notes except Rs.10/- note. This feature is in different shapes for various denominations (Rs. 20-Vertical Rectangle, Rs.50-Square, Rs.100-Triangle, Rs.500-Circle, Rs.1000-Diamond) and helps the visually impaired to identify the denomination.
Fluorescence
Number panels of the notes are printed in fluorescent ink. The notes also have optical fibres. Both can be seen when the notes are exposed to ultra-violet lamp.
Optically Variable Ink
This is a new security feature incorporated in the Rs.1000 and Rs.500 notes with revised colour scheme introduced in November 2000. The numeral 1000 and 500 on the obverse of Rs.1000 and Rs.500 notes respectively is printed in optically variable ink viz., a colour-shifting ink. The colour of the numeral 1000/500 appears green when the note is held flat but would change to blue when the note is held at an angle.
See through Register
The small floral design printed both on the front (hollow) and back (filled up) of the note in the middle of the vertical band next to the Watermark has an accurate back to back registration. The design will appear as one floral design when seen against the light.
Legal provisions against counterfeiting
Printing and circulation of forged notes are offences under Sections 489A to 489E of the Indian Penal Code and are punishable in the courts of law by fine or imprisonment or both.
